The Chevy Trailblazer is a high-end SUV that is very popular with families. It's easy to see why - this vehicle has all the bells and whistles of a luxury car, but without the price tag! We've put together a head-to-toe overview of this new edition for you, so read on to find out more!

The Chevy Trailblazer is a midsize SUV that has been in production for over 20 years.

The first generation of this line was called the Blazer Trim line and was in production between 1999-2001, a distinct model was produced for North America between 2001-2008, and now the production of the direct descendants of this line is being done in Asia and Brazil since 2011. The new model, set to be released in 2022, will have some awesome features and a price point that far surpasses the previous releases.

Engine and Performance

There are two turbocharged engine options. The LT trim comes standard with a 1.2 liter 137 horse-powered engine for the FWD option, and the All-Wheel Drive version comes standard with a 1.3l engine with 155 hp. The former produces a torque of 162 lb-ft of torque @ 2500 rpm, and the latter produces a torque of 174 lb-ft torque @ 1600 rpm.

Exterior

First, let's take a look at the exterior of this new model. It has been given an entirely different design from its predecessors and is sharper in appearance with sleek lines throughout the body.

  • The front end features halogen     headlamps, and even the rear has halogen taillamps which come with     headlamp control with IntelliBeam auto high beams, a feature that can turn     the vehicle's high-beam headlamps on or off automatically according to the     conditions of the surrounding traffic. It also comes equipped with LED     daytime running lamps.
  • LED Center High-Mounted Stop/Brake lamp and LED fog lamps that help minimize glare in adverse driving conditions.
  • Deep-tinted glass on rear side windows and rear liftgate window along with roof-mounted side rails for ease of carrying your cargo.
  • Mirrors, outside heated power-adjustable, manual-folding come as standard engaging defrost feature on the mirror in the frigid cold.

Interior

The interior is pretty spacious for a compact SUV crossover.

Some of the key features involve:

  • It comes with ten standard     airbags. It includes frontal and knee airbags for front passenger and     driver, along with seat-mounted side-impact airbags for all outboard     seating positions and head-curtain airbags for front and rear outboard     seating positions.
  • It comes with a 10-way power     driver seat with power lumbar as standard, which is not available in the     lower trim, i.e., LS. It allows optimum comfort no matter how tedious, or     long the drive be.
  • Chevy Safety Assist which includes     a forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist     with lane departure warning, front pedestrian braking, following distance     indicator, and IntelliBeam auto high beams.
  • It comes with driver-assist     features like Following Distance Indicator and Forward Collision Alert     along with Cruise control which helps maintain a selected speed while     driving, set and resume speed functions, and has steering-wheel-mounted     controls to easily maintain and manage cruising speed.
  • Infotainment features include the     Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System with a 7" diagonal color touchscreen,     which comes with Apple CarPlay And Android Auto for phones that are     compatible, and 6-speaker audio system.

The interior is pretty spacious. The cargo space is already, but it provides not only the fold-flat rear seats but also a fold-flat front passenger seat for those extra-long items that just won't otherwise fit.

The Last Word

The LT trim is a very sensible choice to make while buying the Trailblazer 2022. Add in a few features that you would like, like opting for the AWD, which will come paired with an automatic nine-speed transmission. Add to it Adaptive Cruise Control and the Driver Confidence Package, and you would be good to rule the roads.
