They are generally caused by a lack of hydration and are noticeable because they look like little holes. They are not extremely tenacious corns and removal is enough to make them disappear.
Vascular corns (heloma neurofibrosum)
These are corns which are more common in smokers than in non-smokers. They are particularly painful types of corns with nerve endings. When cut, they may bleed and they are more difficult to remove. These corns often diminish when the person stops smoking tobacco.
Fibrous corns
These corns develop when the corns mentioned previously are not treated. They become entangled in the collagen fibers of the cutaneous layers of the skin, and are connected to tissue. They are very painful and undeniably require professional treatment.
